Wild News Is Good News!

Words ④ Wildlife is dedicated to building better lines of communication between conservationists, the general public and the mass media so that everyone has a greater understanding of the very serious problems facing animals in their natural environment. The continuing problems facing wildlife sustainability in their natural habitat cannot be ignored if these issues are constantly being highlighted and scrutinized in the press by the general public. By protecting wild animals and preserving their natural habitat we are, in effect, sustaining ourselves and our ecological system. Our objective here is to establish a wilderness warehouse where we receive and dispatch information vital to preserving and protecting animal species living in their natural habitat. As media facilitators, our role is to ensure that news from the frontline of wildlife conservation reaches the press for publication and broadcast. It is astonishing and alarming to hear that 58 percent of all animal species have been obliterated from the face of the earth since 1970. We call upon media representatives to register their contact details here with us so we can provide them with reports from wildlife conservationists operating in the field. We also want to hear from government authorities and wildlife conservation groups about the role they are playing in helping to sustain animal species living in wilderness. Many of the world’s conservation organizations rely heavily on donations from the general public in order to operate effectively. These donations spike sharply whenever the media reports an urgent need for wildlife funding in the press. Most of us rely solely on reports in the media about any concerns facing wildlife in their natural habitats, and this reporting needs to be relentless because the degradation of the environment is an issue that is not going to go away.

 Journalists can do so much more to expose wildlife concerns in the media, and pressure the real wildlife power brokers, the general public, to only elect those governments who are not only sympathetic to the wildlife cause but who are willing to allocate money for its preservation and protection. Words ④ Wildlife is totally committed to broadcasting the all-important message to media worldwide that without their continued and unwavering support as publicists, fund raisers and advocates, wildlife conservation is a dead issue. As journalists it is up to us, as the world’s true watchdogs, to keep the wildlife torch burning brightly and constantly in the public eye by spreading the word globally about wildlife conservation and preservation. The reality is that wildlife can never feel totally secure in their natural environment, and only by constant media scrutiny and direct action from fully-funded conservationists supported by governments do animals have a future in the wild.
